This has been a hectic performing month: Big Words for two weekends at the HipBone; a fun little “intro to Miriam” as part of a magnificently successful Obama fundraiser; and just last Saturday, singing with Pride of Portland at the exquisite Kaul Auditorium at Reed College. Fall Sweetness
The hear of late afternoon sun can lure me in but I know what’s coming after fall’s sweetness and I don’t like it.
White Water Brain
Where do we go when our minds go off…? This is written about a recent occurrence when I seemed to fade away, almost fall asleep while awake. Very frightening–especially for the friend who took care of me.
Second Chance
I went to dry plains of West Texas to see if I could find stories about my Grandmother who married and settled there after she endured the second World War in Europe. I found myself wondering about coming to this dry, yet welcoming place.
Recalibration
